Sports presenter Tony Ndoro returns to Drive Time Sport

HOT 102.7FM is adding more firepower to its weekday line-up, with seasoned broadcaster Tony Ndoro returning to the station as the new sports presenter on The Just Plain Drive Show.

Ndoro takes over from Dylan Rogers, who is moving into a new role in corporate communications at Investec. However, listeners can still catch Rogers hosting HOT Sport 60 with Betway, which airs every Friday evening from 6pm to 7pm.

No stranger to the airwaves, Ndoro brings over 30 years of broadcasting experience, having worked at top media brands like Radio Bop, Kaya FM, 947, SuperSport and eNCA. He previously hosted a weekend music show on HOT 102.7FM before stepping away to focus on his private business ventures.

Now, he returns to join Darren Scott and Tara Penny for the weekday afternoon drive, airing Monday to Friday from 3pm to 6pm.

The Return of the Sports Presenter Signals Exciting Growth for Hot Team

“We were disappointed to lose Tony the first time around,” says Lloyd Madurai, Managing Director of HOT 102.7FM. “But when Dylan told us he was moving on, it opened the door to bring Tony back. He’ll bring a fresh energy to the show, and I’m excited to see what he, Darren, and Tara will create together.”

Ndoro’s appointment comes as HOT 102.7FM continues to grow its on-air talent. Tara Penny recently added seasoned news voices Reuben Goldberg and Gareth Edwards to the newsroom.

This comes off the back of an exciting few months for the station, with three shortlist nominations at the prestigious New York Festivals Radio Awards, and big-name concert partnerships with global acts like Sting and Roxette.

In Conclusion

With Tony Ndoro back behind the mic and HOT 102.7FM’s talent line-up stronger than ever, listeners can look forward to a fresh, high-energy afternoon drive. Tune in to the Just Plain Drive Show, weekdays from 3pm to 6pm, and catch your favourite sports presenter in action
