Breakfast radio listeners know Simon Hill for his quick wit, golf obsession, and willingness to chirp just about anyone in studio.

What they may not have known is that, away from HOT 102.7 Breakfast, Simon apparently transforms into a polished golf commentator.

And not just any golf commentator — the kind who casually drops phrases like “absolute humdinger” while sounding perfectly at home on SuperSport’s Golf Channel.

The discovery became one of the funniest moments on the show this morning after Parky revealed he had managed to get hold of clips from Simon’s appearance on the final day of the Kit Kat Cash and Carry Pro-Am on the Sunshine Tour.

With commentary veteran Derek Alberts alongside him, Simon sounded calm, composed, knowledgeable… and very, very serious.

Far too serious for the Breakfast team’s liking.
