Meet Alan Khan

South African Radio Legend, Broadcaster & HOT 102.7FM presenter every Sunday from 3pm to 7pm.

The man who doesn’t just walk the talk… he practically owns the sidewalk.

With a broadcasting career that’s clocked more air miles than your favourite 80s rock band, Alan is one of South Africa’s most respected (and recognisable) voices. Meet Alan — the voice, the brain, and quite possibly the most overqualified Sunday afternoon you’ll ever spend.

By day, he’s the Senior Director of Corporate Affairs at the Durban University of Technology, but at his core? Pure radio. With over three decades behind the mic, Alan has been shaping South Africa’s airwaves since 1990 — and now he’s right where he belongs, back on music radio at HOT 102.7FM.

This isn’t just experience… it’s broadcasting royalty. A South African Radio Hall of Fame inductee, former CEO in the land of the jacarandas and ex-Deputy MD on the east coast, Alan’s career has covered everything from breakfast shows to boardrooms — often before most of us have had our first coffee.

He’s interviewed legends like Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Dalai Lama and Richard Branson plus a lineup of global icons from Stevie Wonder to Sachin Tendulkar. No big deal.

Off-air, he’s just as impressive — global event host, board contributor, and all-round force for good, supporting causes that genuinely matter.

But beyond the accolades and air miles, Alan’s a family man, a proud Everton supporter, and someone who lives by a simple philosophy: purpose, humility, and great radio.

Smart, sharp, and effortlessly cool, Alan Khan isn’t just part of the team… he’s the full Sunday experience.
