As the host of The Big Joburg Drive, Tony considers it his social responsibility project to keep Dylan under control and out of trouble but throws in Tara as another of his ‘children’ to look after. You can see why this veteran of the South African radio scene likes to wind down his days with a large glass of red wine, ideally paired with some of his favourite French food! He’s come a long way as our Tony – literally – taking in the bright lights of the UK and Ireland, where he once broadcast his show from a caravan next to a carpet warehouse in Waterford! No surprise, then, that he likes travelling, with Italy at the top of his list, and he knows his ‘Old Skool’ music backwards, making it difficult to pick out some favourites. But throw on some Doobie Brothers, crank up ‘What A Fool Believes’, and that’ll get his foot tapping.
