Over the past few years, HOT 102.7 has proudly earned the titles of Best Radio Station in Joburg (BOJ), Best Radio Station in Pretoria (BOP) and Best Radio Station in Ekurhuleni (BOE). Those awards mean so much because they’re decided by the people who matter most – the listeners.

Speaking on HOT 102.7 Breakfast, Caxton’s Norman Dawes officially launched this year’s voting, celebrating the 31st edition of Best of Joburg and the 11th edition of Best of Ekurhuleni.

“You’re the best of the best, voted by the readers of our publications. And that’s what counts.”

Dawes said the awards have become a trusted guide for consumers looking for quality businesses and services across Gauteng.

“It’s like a stamp of approval. You know you’re getting quality.”

He also highlighted what makes the awards unique.

“It’s all about the readers’ vote. It’s not about the judges.”

Breakfast host Simon Parkinson agreed, saying it’s remarkable how many businesses proudly display their Best Of certificates.

Voting remains open until 17 August, and every vote helps recognise the businesses, brands and personalities that make Gauteng such a special place to live.
