Bradley Massiv Deadlift Snyman shares his worst housemate story with HOT 1027 Breakfast

HOT 1027 Breakfast listeners were treated to one of the most outrageous calls of the morning when Bradley “Massiv Deadlift” Snyman phoned Parky, Bunny Majaja and Simon Hill during a discussion about “housemates from hell.”

Calling from his Crossfit gym, Bradley shared the story of a former roommate named Chase “Skull Crusher” Du Plooy — a man he claimed studied alongside him in the early ’90s while completing a “welding, panel beating and personal training degree” at Damelin in Edenvale.

That alone was enough to get the Breakfast team laughing.

But his story quickly spiralled into complete chaos. According to Bradley, Chase had an enormous appetite for protein — the kind that allegedly caused repeated plumbing disasters in the flat they once shared. Bradley described having to “chase enormous chocolate logs down the porcelain telephone,” leaving the studio in hysterics.

Parky and Bunny could barely contain themselves as Bradley continued detailing the ongoing toilet blockages and costly plumber call-outs that eventually led to Chase being kicked out of the flat.

Then came the dramatic twist… Click below to hear the call:

Bradley explained that years later he had heard from Chase’s wife, who revealed that the fitness fanatic had allegedly gone on an “eight-day protein binge” consisting entirely of powders, bars, steaks, eggs and lamb — with “not a veggie or drop of water” in sight.

The story only became more absurd from there.

In full dramatic fashion, Bradley revealed that Chase had supposedly “pushed to failure” and died on the toilet mid-squat, before claiming rescuers had no choice but to bury him “with his toilet.”

By this point, the HOT 1027 Breakfast team was equal parts horrified and speechless.

It was ridiculous, over-the-top and completely unforgettable radio.
