Two-time Rugby World Cup winner Steven Kitshoff believes South African rugby fans have plenty to look forward to as the Springboks prepare for another massive international season.
Speaking to John Walland on HOT 102.7 Drive with Ian F, the legendary Bok prop said the season ahead offers a perfect mix of exciting challenges, fresh opportunities, and the chance for a new generation to make their mark.
“It’s going to be an unbelievable rugby season ahead,” Kitshoff said, as he looked forward to the Springboks taking on the Barbarians and building towards some of rugby’s biggest international clashes.
With new combinations being tested and several younger players pushing for selection, Kitshoff says these fixtures provide the ideal platform for emerging talent to prove they belong in the green and gold.

Kitshoff also opened up about one of the Springboks’ greatest weapons in recent years – the scrum.
As one of the men who helped build South Africa’s reputation for forward dominance on the biggest stage, he shared insight into what makes the Bok pack so effective and why the systems in place continue to produce world-class players.
He also praised the young forwards coming through the ranks and carrying the traditions of Springbok rugby into the future.
The conversation also turned to the Bulls’ United Rugby Championship final against Leinster, with Kitshoff backing the South African side’s ability to challenge one of Europe’s toughest teams.
He said the Bulls had shown their quality throughout the season and had the players and game plan needed to compete on the biggest stage.
With new talent emerging and major fixtures on the horizon, Kitshoff believes South African rugby is perfectly positioned for another thrilling chapter.
