The very first Now Now Festival delivered a celebration of iconic music, unforgettable performances, and pure nostalgia as fans gathered at Marks Park in Emmarentia for one of Joburg’s standout live music experiences.

Blending international synth-pop legends with some of South Africa’s most loved rock acts, the festival created the kind of atmosphere where every song felt familiar and every performance became a singalong moment.

The South African line-up proved equally memorable. Prime Circle delivered a hit-filled performance packed with crowd favourites, while Arno Carstens brought his signature stage presence and unmistakable voice to a festival audience that sang along from the very first note.

Fans were also treated to a high-energy performance by Absinthè, whose blend of nostalgia and live intensity added another standout moment to the festival experience.

Beyond the music, the event captured the spirit of a classic festival day — from food and drinks to festival fashion, crowd moments, and a shared love for the songs that shaped generations.

HOT 1027 was proud to support an event that brought together some of the most recognisable names in classic pop, synth, and rock music. The Now Now Festival formed part of the station’s ongoing involvement in live music experiences that connect audiences with the artists and songs that continue to stand the test of time.
