Get Free Access to These National Parks From 9 -13 September.
Hey adventure seekers and nature lovers! It’s that time of year again—South African National Parks (SANParks) is rolling out the green carpet for the 19th annual SA National Parks Week!
The festivities kick off with a bang at Marakele National Park on 8 September 2024, setting the stage for a week of wild fun from 9 to 13 September. And guess what? Some parks are extending the celebration to 14 and 15 September.
What’s the big deal? During this awesome week, most of South Africa’s 21 national parks are offering free entry.
Yup, you heard that right—free! But remember, while you can roam the parks without paying an entry fee, accommodation and other activities will still come with their usual price tags.
Since it started back in 2006, SA National Parks Week has become a favourite time for day-trippers and nature enthusiasts alike.
It’s not just about getting out into the great outdoors; it’s also about soaking in South Africa’s breathtaking natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Plus, it’s a fantastic opportunity to learn about how we’re all working together to protect these incredible landscapes.
This week-long celebration shines a spotlight on sustainable development and the awesome partnerships that help make it all happen—think local communities, businesses, scientists, and of course, you, the enthusiastic tourists!
