She spoke fondly of the memories that the Games bring back, the buzz of anticipation, and the pride she felt representing South Africa.

Despite the small size of the South African team, Natalie believes that anything is possible on the day of competition, especially with athletes who are there to give their best and aim for the highest rankings.

Tune in And Support

Natalie also advised listeners and viewers to tune in to the various sports and get to know the athletes, emphasising that each athlete’s journey is unique and deserving of support.

“My advice is for everyone to tune in to the different sports and get to know a little bit about the team.  I’ll be watching from home and cheering on South Africa.”

Reflecting on her own journey, Natalie says she’s found new passions since her retirement. Some of which include digital marketing, and her involvement in different capacities across various organisations.

“So I actually retired because there was nothing more in swimming,  you still have to go into life and, start earning your own money.”

She says her love for sports remains; and is eagerly looking forward to the Games, wishing all the athletes the very best of luck.
