Action legend Chuck Norris dies at 86

The world has lost one of its toughest icons.

Chuck Norris — the martial artist, actor, and pop culture phenomenon best known for Walker, Texas Ranger — has died at the age of 86.

According to reports confirmed by his family, Norris passed away on March 19, surrounded by loved ones. While the exact cause of death has not been publicly disclosed, his family shared that he was “at peace” in his final moments.

Born Carlos Ray Norris in 1940, he rose from humble beginnings to become a six-time undefeated world karate champion before transitioning into Hollywood. His breakthrough moment came when he faced Bruce Lee in The Way of the Dragon— a scene that would become legendary in martial arts cinema.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Norris became synonymous with action films like Missing in Action and The Delta Force, before cementing his legacy on television as Cordell Walker in Walker, Texas Ranger.

But beyond his on-screen persona, Norris evolved into something even bigger — a cultural icon. The viral “Chuck Norris facts” turned him into an internet legend, introducing him to a whole new generation and reinforcing his larger-than-life image.

Remarkably, Norris remained active well into his 80s. Just days before his death, he shared a video of himself training, joking: “I don’t age. I level up.”

He leaves behind a legacy that spans martial arts, film, television, and internet culture — a rare combination that few have ever achieved.

Chuck Norris wasn’t just a tough guy on screen.

For millions around the world, he was the definition of strength.
