HOT 1027 Breakfast unfiltered: listeners ask, the team spills

It started as a simple invitation: Ask us anything. But on this morning’s edition of HOT 1027 Breakfast, it turned into something resembling a group therapy session… with microphones.

Listeners didn’t hold back, and neither did the team. From Bunny’s chin hair to Simon’s “lifelong obsession” with Uranus (yes, really), no topic was off limits. Naomi wanted to know who the best singer in the room was — and while Parky boldly claimed the crown, Simon threw it back to a dramatic rendition of Send in the Clowns that may or may not still be under wraps.

One listener, Goose, asked the big question: What happens after 9am? The answer: No, they don’t go home. Apparently, the team works late into the night feeding “the content beast.” Whether that beast enjoys Parky’s off-mic insults is another story entirely.

There were rugby revelations (Stormers, Lions, Bulls — it’s a mixed bag), a confession from Simon about his total disdain for football, and a loving shout-out to Gunter, who is apparently still alive and phoning in from a mysterious retreat.

And yes, someone did ask why Bunny’s solitary chin hair gets all the attention. The answer? Because that’s just how this family rolls.

Want to know who sings in a band, who has an MBA, and why some of Parky’s mates are secretly feeding Simon insult ammo? You’ll have to listen to the full show — it’s all there in this beautifully chaotic, laugh-out-loud episode.
